Released on April 20, the guidance:

  • Makes suggestions on reporting to the board.
  • Identifies potential risk areas.

The guidance stresses accountability and compliance as an “enterprise-wide responsibility.”

The OIG worked with:

  • The American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).
  • The Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA).
  • The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).

The guidance is attached or can be found here.
