LeadingAge SNF Rate Calculation Tool Updated

Below is the link to the popular SNF Medicare rate calculation tool, updated with the new wage indices and the new rates that will be effective October 1, 2012: www.leadingage.org/SNF_RUG_Rate_Calculation_Tools.aspx.

The Part B Therapy rates come from the Physician Fee schedule; normally we would be updating our payment model so members could know their new Part B therapy rates for 2013. The Part B updates are currently caught up in the Congressional battle over the “doc fix” or Medicare physician payment reductions. Until that is resolved (possibly in late December/early January) members should continue to use current year rates in their planning for 2013, until further notice. (LeadingAge)
