The Evolution of Employees from A to GenZ
Instead of fueling the “us versus them” fire on your team, it’s time to explore the “why” behind the unique mindsets of our multigenerational workforce. Understand how Baby Boomers, GenX, Millennials, and GenZ were raised differently and the impact of their upbringing on the employer-employee relationship. We will also dispel myths about younger workers’ perceived lack of professionalism and work ethic.
Magnet Culture’s award-winning generational lens provides valuable insights to navigate key challenges and opportunities presented by today’s new workforce. It’s time to create a workplace that more effectively manages multi-generational teams, as one-size leadership styles no longer fit all.

We’re excited to share some big news about our annual Life Safety Code training! For 2026, we’ve reimagined and expanded the program to create a brand-new learning experience. The CORE Certificate Program, designed specifically for facility and environmental services leaders as well as administrators in long-term care.
CORE (Compliance. Operations. Readiness. Education.) builds on the foundation of our previous Life Safety Code bootcamps, but with updated content, practical approaches to learning, broader leadership focus, and recognition for your professional growth.
Your facilities and EVS teams are essential to the success of every long-term care community; ensuring safety, compliance, and comfort for residents and staff every day. From maintaining regulatory readiness to supporting infection control and quality outcomes, your work touches every corner of your organization. The CORE Certificate Program is designed to strengthen those critical skills and celebrate the expertise that keeps your communities running safely and smoothly
Here’s what’s new:
- Comprehensive content: covering life safety code, survey readiness, disaster preparedness, and operational leadership.
- Certificate of Completion: participants who complete the program will earn the LeadingAge Indiana CORE Certificate, recognizing their expertise and commitment to excellence.
- New timing: the CORE program will be held during our Spring Conference, offering you the chance to also attend keynote session, networking events, and the trade show.
This two-day event is ideal for both new and seasoned facility and EVS leaders who want to stay current on compliance, safety, and leadership best practices in long-term care. Certificate eligibility requires attendees to attend all Track D sessions at the Spring Conference. Certificates will be emailed following successful completion of the sessions.
Sessions Include:
- Mitigating Legionella Risks Through Proactive Water Management
- Navigating Your Next Life Safety Survey with Confidence Pt. 1 & 2
- Calm in the Chaos: Practical Scenarios for Emergency Preparedness Pt. 1 & 2
Additional Notes:
Beginning in 2026, LeadingAge Indiana will offer two signature training experiences on an alternating-year schedule:
- Even Year: CORE: Compliance, Operations, Readiness, Education Certificate Program
- Odd Year: Life Safety Code Bootcamp
This rotation allows us to dive deeper into essential Life Safety and operational topics while offering fresh content every year. It also helps member organizations plan professional development in advance and ensures that maintenance, EVS, and facilities teams have ongoing opportunities for growth.
